A Moroccan in a Boston kitchen.

Chef Yahya in his Boston kitchen

I’m Yahya. Casablanca-born, Boston-rooted, and now over a decade deep in kitchens across Greater Boston.

My cooking draws from Moroccan warmth, Italian soul, and French technique, all anchored by the coast that runs through everything I do here in New England. I learned to read fish off the New England coast, learned the seasons by what the farms sent home dirty, and learned that the best meal is the one where you actually sit down with your guests.

I came up through fine dining: kitchens where every plate, every garnish, every second of timing was deliberate. That attention to detail never left me. It’s in everything I cook, whether it’s a twelve-course tasting or a Tuesday night tagine. The difference now is where I bring it: into your home, at your table, on your terms.

After years in the industry, the requests from friends and family kept coming. Cook for us. Plan the menu. Make it feel like that. So I finally took the private chef route. The goal is simple: fine dining precision with the warmth and comfort of home.

This site is a window into that world: my life as a chef, the way I think about food, and the recipes that shape the private dinners I cook for my guests. What you see here is what gets served at the table. The atelier, where I take private bookings, lives at chefyahya.com.
